Our CEO wrote his new book Ingaging Leadership to help people improve their leadership skills and build great organizations, not to win praise. But it is still exciting to learn that readers are already achieving positive results from using the philosophy of Ingagement that Evan lays out in his book.

If you don’t know Evan, let me explain that he is not only our CEO, but a true business leader, a franchise industry leader, a widely published writer, a keynote speaker, and much more. A consultant to some of the largest franchise systems in North America, Evan is also Founder and Principal of Ingage Consulting, our sister company. By building cultures of partnership and common purpose within many organizations, Evan has established a record of helping organizations dramatically improve performance. Before founding Ingage Consulting, Evan worked at CCA Global Partners for 20 years, where he was responsible for four business divisions with over 2000 units, over $5 billion in sales. All those experiences make Evan a leader whose ideas are not theoretical, but proven to work in real-world situations.

For today’s post, I’m pleased to reprint some of the positive reviews that readers have posted about the book on Amazon.com. If you read them, you will discover areas where your approach to leadership could benefit from review and improvement. If that’s the case, I hope you will consider getting your own copy of the book and applying Evan’s practical leadership strategies.

“Excellent book on practical leadership”

“Excellent book on practical leadership and communication. I enjoyed the case studies and the stories throughout. The book, like the author, is refreshingly humble, grateful, & transparent. Recommend to franchise organizations and all companies looking to improve their bottom line with “ingaging” and highly effective leadership.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed Ingaging Leadership”

“After well over 40 years in business, and an avid reader of any book that looks like it will provide learning for me, I thoroughly enjoyed Ingaging Leadership. Not only did it remind me of all that I had forgotten, it provided some new insight that not only will help me be a better leader and manager, but probably more important, this is a book that my senior leadership can truly learn from. Being a good leader is skill that I have improved over time, but having the skills to pass leadership skills on to others is not in my sweet spot. I feel like rating books is so tough since I read so many, I’ve read some life changing books like Deming on Management and then some not so good books which I just won’t mention. I gave this book 4 stars because, in my opinion, this is a great book for emerging and mid-level managers or those managers who are looking for an actionable everyday tactics to connect with their people or organization. If you are a more experienced leader than you may find this book a great reminder. Evan does a great job sharing his personal experiences both successful and lessons learned. The prose is written conversational so it’s an easy read and you don’t need to do it in one sitting from back to front. It’s definitely written in a way so that you can open a page and get a little nugget of advice. Full disclosure, I know Evan personally and his book is an interesting account of his journey. You, like myself, may even find some similarities when comparing challenges. Evan surely pulls no punches on describing his failures and lessons learned, as well as, his successes.”

“a FANTASTIC leadership book”

“This is a FANTASTIC Leadership book. Great for all leaders from the CEO & Board Room to the local Girl scout leader.”
